Google SearchWiki to personalise your own search (ranking?!)
Google just launched Google SearchWiki two days ago. It is a service which allow you rerank/rearrange your search results, write comments to your search, remove result items and list all your commented search on a page. Personalise the search the way you want.
To use this service, you have to have a google account, if you are gmail users, you can use the same account to use this service, there is no need for new account.
If you are SEO/SEM professional, you may have a few more questions about this service than a usual user,
- Does this service affect the ranking of a website, for example, if there are more people click the promote button to rearrange the search, does it get a higher ranking for the website?
- Or there are people click the remove button to delete your website listing, does it decrease the website ranking?
- And does it means the service is to adapt users (human being) to sort out the ranking of websites, rather than the Google serach engine (machine) to sort out the ranking of websites? Or the use of both to improve the quality of searching and ranking?
